Computer won't boot after inserting graphics card?

Today i connected an old graphics card to my motherboard. (Radeon x600: as i dont have any graphics card, i was just trying).
When i started pc, all three fans computer(processor, motherboard, graphics card) works properly. There is constant beeps sound. Computer won't boot and there is no display.
When i removed graphics card, the situation remains same. Computer does not boot.
Does anything wrong happen. I previously had nvidia geforce 7025, which is inbuilt to my motherboard.

Did you change the settings in bios from onboard graphics to PCIE Graphics before the swap? Like this *Open the BIOS at POST, find the graphics selection and change it from on-board to PCIe, then save and exit the BIOS. Upon re-POST your display will be from the expansion card and not the on-board video.* You may also have to remove the bios battery prior to doing this now to reset it. I am not sure on how long you have to keep the battery out but I recall reading about half an hour. I may be wrong.

i did not know anything about those settings. I just watched one video on youtube. That man connected it to pci slot. So i followed him. Now i feel that i have done something really wrong. Is there any solution.

Ok, let's try one step at a time. Connect monitor to onboard video and turn it on, and see if you can get into the bios. If you can, get back to me..we will go to step 2.

connected to onboard video but can't go to bios. There is no display so does i need any specific step to go into bios

Does dammage psi can stop windows from booting. As i have onboard graphics card, windows should start after removing additional card. I do not want to install additionaj graphics card but want my pc work again.
There is just black screen and constant beep sound.

Hi rocker Did your on-board graphics card work before you installed the Radeon card ?

Sorry for disturbing all of you, i dont know how but my ram is troubling me. I even didnot touched it when adding graphics card. I have two rams. Removing one boot my pc but with both it wont. I have one 2 gb and one 4 gb. Now i facing new problem. Removing one of them start pc. Well i will get over that. Sorry again

Yes one beep does can be a Ram problem at least you can get by with the ram you have

OK, I looked up the X600, looks like it is PCI Express slot card, if forced/put in a regular old PCI slot, it will not work properly.

A search turned up that motherboard has 1 PCI Express 16 slot and 2 240-pin SDRAM slots, max speed allowed PC3-10600, Dual channel memory architecture, max size 8 gig total, so ideally he wants 2 4gig SDRAM modules, do not mix sizes and that just might be why this rig was not working well *cough*.

Putting in that X600 and if the PSU is too low on watts might also be why the X600 video never shows up.
