Display driver amd driver stopped responding...

Display driver AMD driver stopped responding and has successfully recovered. Is the error I am getting. I get it when opening a new chrome browser and every few seconds while playing Diablo 3. I've tried updating DX drivers as was suggested by a different forums to no avail. I just completed building this computer 2 weeks ago. I was out of town last week so haven't had a chance to research this problem till now.

    Thanks in advance,

    DenebE,

The error occurs when you try to play high graphic demanding games like "Crysis 2" & "Far Cry 2" etc. In this condition I will suggest you to change your windows theme to windows classic. It may look ugly but who cares! your playing a game anyways. I read this off somewhere and i tested it and so far no error occurs.

Hey DenebE. I see from your system specs that you are using 2X8 GB RAM. Try to run the PC with single RAM stick and see if you are getting the error. Also, can you let us know what GPU you are using and PSU as well (already asked above). Try uninstalling old drivers and do a clean install of latest drivers.

    PSU should be fine.
    Run a RAM memory diagnostic:

I ran the diagnostics and it said all good in the test. I never got a popup with the results when I logged in. I also tried the turning my theme to classic and that didn't work either. Guess I've got a few other tests to run.

You could try rolling back your graphics driver, and what britny said has worked for people too. NikDorado asked very good questions and since you have no oc try the roll back/theme switch. Just noticed you tried theme so give a go at driver rollback.
