While updating Graphics driver is the screen suppose to turn black?

    While updating Graphics driver is the screen suppose to turn black?


    I'm a bit worried basically I was updating Intel graphics driver and while it was updating the screen went black for a couple of seconds then the screen was back to normal. I'm using a windows 7 laptop

    Yes it is normal. What is happening is the old driver is being uninstalled before the new, and the brief black screen is the time between that happening.
