Which of these 2 ATI is better for my system?

Guys, I've heard 7750 is an awesome card...especially power requirement-wise. But I see there's a HD7770 almost at the same price!Which card would you suggest for my system (keeping in mind other components/PSU) that would be an better upgrade than my present gpu.

    1) MSI GRAPHICS CARD HD 7770 1GB DDR5 (Stock/6-pin required)

    2) SAPPHIRE GRAPHICS CARD HD 7750 1GB DDR5 OC (Factory OC/No 6-pin required...I think)

I have the Sapphire HD7770 installed in my system. I'm not sure what the difference between the two you list is.

I get a Windows Experience score of 7.5 for both video parameters.

Erm...HD 7750 is a much less power hungry card I've heard, in spite of the factory OC, whereas the stock 7770 draws more power - is it really better because of that? I wanted to go with the Oc'd HD7750...but as another option is available at the same price more or less, I want to make sure which one is better performance/power-wise

    Hey dorian hawkmoon!
If you are looking for power, then 7770 is better. Regarding the PSU, as per AMD site you will need min 500W and for best performance, 600W power supply (or greater) with two 75W 6-pin PCI Express power connectors.
Now depends on you. If you want to buy new PSU as well with the card.

archer, those psu requirements are for total system specs, he should use a psu calculator to determine his needs.

I would go with the 7770

Just FYI, the 7770 only needs one 6r.

    This should help also:

    http://www.hwcompare.com/11880/radeo...adeon-hd-7770/

    Power wise 55w for 7750
    80w for 7770

My 7950 is apparently a little piggy at 200w in comparison, does use 2 6r's.

*cough* Benjy, u borrowed my compare.

I would go as high as your budget allows if you need a new PSU, the 7770 is of course better than the 7750, but not awesome, I wouldn't even refer to my 7950 that way. (OK, maybe 9 months ago when I first got it)

aka. I'd spring for a 7850 to get to 256-bit instead of 128-bit memory interface.

I can't buy another psu right now according to my budget! [it's 1 & 1/2 years old btw] My psu is listed in my specs.
eXtreme Power Supply Calculator suggests I have a 368 W min. and 418 W recommended(HD7770) and 316 W min. and 366 W recommended for HD7750 (in both cases Capacitor Aging is 30% as I use the PC a lot), a huge difference in power consumption! Provided 7770 price remains stable, you suggest I buy it?
