Second monitor only detected after sleep

Hi all, I'm currently having an odd issue with my (newly acquired) second monitor.

My primary monitor is connected via DVI and my second is connected via HDMI. Graphics card is Radeon 7700.

At boot, my machine doesn't detect the second monitor. However, after the computer wakes up from sleep, both monitors are detected and work fine.

Both monitors ports are a-ok and I've updated all relevant drivers. I'm really not sure what's wrong

Any advice would be very welcome :)

    egotuck,

Are you saying during boot up only one monitor shows, then when boot is complete the second monitor appears? Pr are you actually putting the computer to sleep then waking it?

Thank you for the response dude. Sorry for not being clear enough (English is not my first language)

"Are you saying during boot up only one monitor shows, then when boot is complete the second monitor appears? Pr are you actually putting the computer to sleep then waking it?"

When boot is complete, only the primary appears (my computer doesn't even detect the second monitor). However, after the computer is put into sleep mode and I reactive it, both monitors miraculously work!

    Does that make sense?

egotuck, yes that sounds strange. Could you update your specs and post a screenshot of you display.

Go to control panel, click Display, click change display settings, and post a screenshot.

Are you wanting a dual setup, extended displays?

On the LG Flatron IPS235 menu settings, probably buttons on the monitor see if it is set for hdmi or auto, not vga or analog

]I would try to remove catalyst control center, then reboot. When it reboots let windows install the driver. Reboot again. Once here if it works you could try to instal CCC again if you want it, or you could use ATI Tools.

    Found another possible fix
