Laptop with two graphics cards - how to lock to the best?

    Hi,

My Multicom Xishan W350E Laptop has two graphics cards installed: Intel HD Graphics 4000 and GeForce GTX 660M. As far as I understand the laptop will start on the lower end Intel card and when called for in for example a game, the GeForce GTX card will start and at the same time a small orange light will indicate that the better card is running.

Unfortunately I have had a few experiences where the orange light has been lit, however the lagging experienced in games are so great that the GeForce card hardly can be running.

Is there a way to force the GeForce to be the only graphics card used and perhaps disable the Intel card? My laptop is always connected to power anyway so I do not need the Intel card to save any battery power.

    Thanks for helping.

Good luck!! There should also be an option in your bios to set it to your discrete card only.
