PCI Lock prevents Windows from reallocating input/output (I/O) and IRQ resources on the Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) bus and so the I/O and memory resources set by the BIOS are preserved.

yesbut with the eGPU having 1gb, i see no reason it would have to share system ram with it.

    External GPU (eGPU)
My card has 2 gigs on it and the system still shares 2 gigs with it.

I would recommend letting Windows 7 take care of your ram sharing. Windows 7 will only share ram when needed and that is exactly what you want it to do.

Ever heard the phrase "you can only squeeze so much out of it". Your efforts are great but I think you hit your limit.

Apologies Quadrider10, I do admire your efforts!! i know you don't want to hear it... but you really need a desktop.

You have made great strides in your efforts with your system, and as I said before I admire that.. but when you get a chance to get a desktop you will get what you are looking for. I wish you the best my friend!!
PS When you post back with how you crossed your current obstacle I won't be surprised
