Hey guys
I just did a clean install of seven, moving from a linux distribution.
I have an ATI X1300, in an Acer Aspire 5100.
Ive read other threads and I cant see a definite answer to how to get the video card working.
I installed catalyst 9.8, in Vista compatibility, it installed to c:/, but still not recognized in Device manager, and Im left with bad resolution and my eyes are hurting.
Its still reading "GenericNon-PnP Monitor on Standard VGA Graphics adapter". I tried disabling in safe mode, and cleaning out all AtI video
driver, then rebooted but Standard VGA Graphics just reinstalled. Do I have to point windows to the
drivers in C:/, when I attempted I right clicked standard VGA and clicked update, pointing to
driver location in C:/ it says
driver is up to date.
Am I installing it completely wrong, has anyone actually got the card working, and if so whats the solution.
Also when I installed I accidentally set the time as US, so the day and month are wrong, Im in New Zealand. Any way to change so its day/month/year.
Thanks
