Which $100 card should I get?
I currently have an AMD Radeon 4200 integrated. I don't really know what my PC can handle, and what it can't as I've never done any upgrades at all

The first place I always check is NewEgg
Newegg.com - Computer Hardware, Video Cards & Video Devices, Desktop Graphics Cards, $75 - $100
That's where I was checking, but I don't know what it can handle, or if the card will be too big
I found this from your specs. Is this the desktop you want to upgrade
HP Pavilion p6270z Desktop PC Product Specifications and Configurable Options HP Pavilion p6270z CTO Desktop PC | HP® Support
It looks like a full size desktop case, correct ?
It says it has a PCI-E x16 slot
This is a short Card in my PCI-E slot. As you can see I have room for a longer card in the area circled in red.
So that should give you an idea of what to measure. Then read what the different lenghts of the cards are in the details tab about the card on the NewEgg website
