    5850 stated DDI:10.1?! DX10.1?

Hmm, I have a Diamond ATI 5850, just came today.
Uninstalled drives (had 2x 4850). Then used Driver Sweeper 2.0.5, cleaned all ati drivers. Downloaded newest drivers for 58xx (10/13/09), then installed. Everythings installed fine.

    But:
In DXDIAG, under DDI it stated 10.1
    WTF?
Im guessing its just the drivers not yet fully mature. Wanted feedback from other 5xxx users.

lol, I get the same with my 5770. Not sure if win7 is not recognizing it, or a failing of the current beta drivers for the 5800/5700 cards.

Must be. Dont see anything from the ATI Forums (place is a joke), so i came to the best forum.

I Wonder if even using a "dx11" game, it would benefit in performace if that stated DDI:11

Any idea if the drivers posted now, are the "hotfix" for 9.10 and we haveto wait untill 9.11 arrives?

Also: Updated DirectX using the web updater

Reads TV (my monitor) just fine via HDMI came still (2x 4850s were perfect too)
    Anyone want my 4850`s?

I'm pretty sure the beta drivers for it are supposed to be 9.10, but have to see if final 9.10 brings any difference. If you run the latest GPU-Z, it will show dx11 with that, so like I said, not sure if it's a prob. with win7 recognizing, or the drivers.

It's definitely a software issue. The 48xx series shows DirectX 11 in dxdiag.

    Hi SE,

You mean at the front display window of dxdiag? Yeah, it has always said dx11 there, since the beta I think. I believe it should show under the second "Display" tab with dxdiag, under DDI version- , it will still show 10.1. And the WEI report page will still show DX10, which I don't think it should be, with a DX11 card.

Only 5000 series are DX11, no 4000 are.

Got ya. Now I'm the same page, I see what you mean. It will still be sorted by either a driver or directx update.

Hopefully that changes in 9.10, due to these drivers arnt being WHQL either.
