There is a lot to consider when getting a new PSU .... I think 800 watts is a bit of an over kill for your System .... Bob is more of a Hardware expert than me ... I am sure he will have some good suggestions .... How ever have a look at this link it will give you a general idea what you are after for your needs .... One suggestion though don't skimp on the Dollars

Well its been a while and the issue is still present but not as bad. Pretty much my computer will just randomly start freezing (and by random I mean could be the next day or 3 days later) for a few seconds, then will be fine, then freezing again, then fine... etc. A simple windows restart will fix this though. During the freezing I have tried disabling the protection part of my antivirus and that does not fix it. So if you guys think this is related to a faulty PSU then I'll buy a new one.... not looking forward to rewiring everything though :/ .

When`s the last time you did an install ? You gotta have a perfect install before you can start ruling out parts.

Well, a re install of windows is basically free, but the process of going through parts as the source will be expensive if you don`t have them laying around to swap out.

Members will give you great suggestions on a new psu. You can get a great Seasonic or Rosewill for under $100. Everyone has a favorite brand.

Do you guys think this would be a good PSU? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139047 or should I keep looking?

i.e. enough cables and such for what I currently have and possible future upgrades/expansions?

Yup. Pro reviewers say it's a good PSU. One review, another review Look at the other pages of the reviews I linked for pics of everything and full specs and connections.

Going all out I see now on a PSU, see what jonnyguru.com says, TwoCables turned me onto that site, better PSU info in general.

He's rated a few hundred PSUs and takes them apart.
