3rd Monitor resolution fixed at 640x480

    Hey guys,

I got a 3rd monitor hooked up recently and was all fine however all of a sudden the 3rd monitor is stuck at 640x480 and I can't change it. I've tried everything it just won't give the options

I've got a hd7770 connected with minidp (active) to DVI, 1 HDMI and DVI

All help would be greatly appreciated

    Regards

Which connector is the 640by480 stuck monitor attached to?

    Have you uninstalled/reinstalled Catalyst?

Checked and/or swapped out the cable from that monitor to the video card or connected that monitor via the other ports?

What else have you tried, give details, always.

    Hi,

Yeah I've in installed and reinstalled. Still no go.

It's stuck in the mini dp to DVI (using a active adaptor),,, I've replaced it and its still doing it. Tried different DVI cables as well.

I've got 2 Philips 22in and 1 Samsung 22in, I've swapped the Philips with the Samsung still doing it.

Currently 1 Philips monitor is hooked up with HDMI and the other 2 via mini dp (1 with active)

It was working but all of a sudden it jut stopped.

    Appreciate your reply

    Regards

AH! You need both active cabling going on the mini-dp's, 99.9% sure that is why.

Get a second active cable and/or adapter and it will be fine again.

I am pretty ticked off at this active nonsense myself, added a HDTV as 3rd and couldn't get it to work with the other 2 until I got mini-dp active adaptor to HDMI then HDMI cabled to the TV.
