Would this not be something better asked on the bitcoin forums? Unless someone here has done the same thing, the best any of us could tell is what we can find searching around.

It sounds like you'll be forced to constantly upgrade to have any hope of staying in the money. Also sounds like GPU's are old and done with !

OP, you trying to mine while playing high end games?

The issue is, PCIe usage with not identical cards is supposedly bad, you have cards that don't run at same speeds for one thing, and probably not the same voltages, either, major mobo/cpu strain if it even works, but very unstable conditions?

I'd get a 2nd rig just for BC mining given the choice and run it 24/7.

And then can it make enough to pay for it's power consumption?
