Just upgrade computer to Windows 7, resolution problems.

Recently my HP Pavilion dv6500 Notebook PC upgraded to window 7 which is much better than Windows Vista. I been trying to change my resolution more than what the computer have for me. I try using regedit trick (finding Display_). I just trying to find more option to my resolution, having 1024 x 768 is just a little too small for my eyes.

Justnoob, welcome to the Seven Forums.

Did you remember to install the graphics driver? Not sure what it has for graphics (likely Intel), but you should be able to find it here,

HP Pavilion dv6500 Entertainment Notebook PC series - Download drivers and software - specify product name - HP Business Support Center

Just need to full model number as there is quite the variation in the 6500 series.

That rules out that it will have Intel graphics. It could have either ATI/AMD or Nvidia with that CPU in it.

Follow this tutorial and see if it shows the ID for the graphics in Device Manager,

Sounds like you need to install the chipset driver first. As I said above, for that you're going to need the exact model of your 6500 series as from the link I posted above most of the models listed have an Intel chipset in them, and yours has an ATI/AMD chipset.
