I have main display adapter from mainboard ( Biostar GF8100 M2 TE GeForce 8100 Socket AM2 ) and I buyed new GeForce 8500GT video card. Can I connect to computer 2 monitors using 2 different graphics card (1 main card and card I buyed ) ?
Why not turn off the onboard graphics in your bios then run 2 monitors off of your 8500 Gt?
I don't think you can since when your computer is booting it always picks one of the Video adapters and gives it a I/O number and only one Adapter can have that I/O number
There could be software on the market that could enable you to use 2 display Adapters but i do now know of them
(I'm actualy interesting in the outcome of this question since if this is possible i could hook up a 3th screen)
Yes you can do this. Just go to Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display\Screen Resolution and you should see both in the Display drop down. Set one as your main display and the other with the Extend these displays button.
Only if the motherboard bios allows for the use of the onboard and add-on card at the same time. Then again the 8500 should have at least two (if not three, DVI/VGA/HDMI/S-video, with a combination of the three) connections on it, and more than capable of running two monitors.
If the bios allows for it it can be done quite easily. In my case with the 780G chipset, I just enable the onboard and one other setting in the bios called "SurroundView", and I can then run up to 4 monitors; 2 off my 4830 and two off the onboard.
