Extended displays reset after time out

I have extended my display to two monitors. However, when my computer turns the monitor off after some inactivity, the display is automatically reset to one monitor shortly after waking up. Is there a way to prevent this? Is this an option?

Unfortunately, I have tried this already and it did solve the problem. As a matter of fact, when restarting, it seems to work then the secondary monitor is diabled.

    Thanks for the suggestion,

Hello OP, this is your laptop doing this?

The laptop monitor is staying and the external monitor is the one that vanishes? [What's the monitor brand/model?]

    What driver are you using?

What's the GPU situation in that Lifebook? [Run GPU-Z from cpuid.com if unsure]

You didn't answer which is shutting off.

I would try disabling those CA IT adapters, wondering, if interfering.

I assumed you are going into Screen Resolution to manipulate these monitors?

Oops, sorry. The external monitor (A19-3) is the one being diabled. When I restart the two monitors work as they were when I shut down but after ~10 seconds, the external monitor is disabled. The same behaviour occurs when the is a request to change the configuration (e.g. installing a software) or when I unlock a session.

I tried disabling the two CA IT adapters but it did not resolved the problem (I have re-enabled them since).

Yes, I am using Screen Resolution to extend the display (using the F keys only allows to switch from one to the other, does not allow extension).
