Upgrading Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit?

    Heck I cannot even find your motherboard's specs on the internet. "AMD680GM-M2" turns up only Asian forums and asian people selling similar rigs.
    Without specs I cannot tell you if you could upgrade something. You sure the mobo name is correct? Can you try running the tool from this tutorial and post what mobo name it tells?

    Just to hammer the point further:

    No, going to a 64-bit OS, will not be an effective way to speed up a now obsolete or lower quality system.

    CPU, video card, RAM, motherboard.... the big performance 4.... skimp on any and you take a performance hit .
    .....and if on a laptop with a typical 5400 RPM hard drive, you got that as a crippler too.

    OP, yes that system of yours was a gaming rig, but 7 years ago, approximately.

    LOL, yeah I know I'm a little behind in computer hardware technology but my budget keeps me from upgrading, lol!

    Not sure, I'm also confused but I used the "System Info" tool and corrected my systems specs.
