    driver problem

    Howdy

I have been having some problems with my graphics driver. For no reason the screen goes blank and then comes back and I then get a message from windows stating the graphics driver failed but then recovered.

This can happen a couple of times in a row and then it can go off and wont come back. I then have to do a forced stop and restart of the PC and then its OK for a while.

Its really only just started happening so I cant give u a history on it but the whole machine is not much more that a year old. It has a Nvidia 550Ti card in it.

Tried updating driver but windows says it is up to date.

    Thanks

Don't ever rely on Windows for a video card driver. get it directly from (in your case) Nvidia,

    NVIDIA DRIVERS 320.49WHQL

As for the cause of the problem, it can be a bad card, bad driver or not getting enough power from the PSU.

Download GeForce Experience, that will keep your drivers up to date for you. It does look as if the 500 Series is supported.
