    Wanted: simple way to set resolution


    Like- a desktop button.
    For watching blu ray I need a different resolution than for PC work, for example.
    My graphics card is AMD; formerly they had this icon in the W7 tray, R clicking you could set all resolutions.
    Nowadays you have to start the Catalyst Control Center and delve into the advanced options.
    Got the latest Catelyst.

    The tray icon is still there, you just have to enable it. With CCC open click on Preferences and make sure that "enable system tray icon" is checked.

    You can also Rick Click on the desktop and click on Screen Resolution
