Windows 7 - ATI 9550 problem

hello im new here and if i make any mistake please correct me and this is my 1st post

here the deal
i've been searched all solution on the net
but still could'nt find the solution
my ATI 9550 graphic works well on safe mode in win 7
but when i start using normal mode
my windows 7 turn off by it self
i tried to switch normal vga with 64mb ram
it works well
but when i switch back to ATI graphic
same problem happen
my ATI drivers is "9-8_legacy_vista32-64_dd_ccc"

my device manager stated that im using ati 9600
and my ati catalyst control wont work and keep saying
" No ATI graphic driver is installed or the ATI driver is not functioning properly. Please install the ATI driver appropriate to your ATI hardware"

what seems to be the problem
can anyone help me with this?

You need to un-install the current driver (if there is one) and install a new one which you can get here, ATI Radeon 9550 drivers

That's older than what he has Ken. He's using 9.8, which is the latest ones that I can see for 9550.

none of them are working for me
any other solution?

If the Win 7 driver is not working well, no harm in trying the Vista driver. It may work for ya.
