    Monitor connections

Most newer monitors have both HDMI and DVI connect ports. Is there any reason I can not have one computer attached to the monitor with HDMI and a second computer attached with DVI, as long as only one computer is supplying a signal at a time?

The reason I ask is I have three Raspberry Pi's that I would like to attach to a monitor with a HDMI switch that has three inputs and one output, still have my Win box attached with DVI.

Hi Madcratebuilder. If your monitor has multiple inputs (most recent models have at least 2 inputs) you should have no problems connecting several computers at once. You just use the source or input button to select the input you need. It will work fine.
