Gigabyte Radeon HD 7870 OC vs Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 OC

    Hey guys!

Help me out in jumping down on a final decision.. Now let me give you some info and specs about my Rig!

    - i5 4670k
    - ASRock Fatal1ty H87 Performance (CrossFireX Ready) SLI not supported
    - 4GB G.Skill (will upgrade later)
    - Cooler Master GX 550w
    - Samsung LCD Monitor (1440x900 Native)

Here are 2 cards I would like you guys to choose from and why?

    GIGABYTE - Graphics Card - ATI - PCI Express Solution - Radeon HD 7000 series - GV-R787OC-2GD
    GIGABYTE - Graphics Card - NVIDIA - PCI Express Solution - GeForce 700 Series - GV-N760OC-2GD (rev. 2.0)

Also I know the GTX 760 is newer and has PhysX Support but it's costing $80 more than the HD7870 also my motherboard does not have SLI Support but it's CrossFireX Ready and I wanna play all new games at maxed out settings (if possible) and I have LCD that has a 1440x900 Native Res. There are chances that I might get 1080p Monitor in Q1 or Q2 next year. The 7870 is available for $280 and GTX 760 for $360 in my currency and country. These are the least prices I can found and now you have all the info please help me choose which one would be good for me in terms of Price, Performance and most of all Power Consumption as we have frequent black outs and my UPS has little backup time to turn things off especially when gaming while system is running at PEAK!

Personally I'd to for the 760.

    If your budget allowed 760

    But 2x 7870 isn't a bad move either

Faster, cooler, Physx... you can't really go wrong with the 760 over the 7870 :) Although, I would look at the 7870 XT version. It is pretty much a 7950 GPU but its downclocked and the price is lower than the 7950. I reckon it would be a good competitor for the 760 if it's within your budget :)

The 7950's can be found on sale and there was a $20 rebate on them. I liked mine enough to buy a second 7950 for crossfire. Somehow it ended up mining.

Thanks fellow members but I just ordered ASUS Geforce GTX 760 DirectCU II OC Edition 2 GB GDDR5 with 3 Years Warranty for $325 Bucks it's a complete non-reference model and requires on 1 8pin PEG connector! with Gigabyte's I was only getting 1 Year Warranty
