Windows 7: Black screen

I get a black screen after logging in.
The only thing on the screen is (happily) the Start button and my gadgets.
No desktop Icons, No taskbar, no wallpaper.

Had this with the Windows 7 driver. Windows update suggested the Nividea drivers which I installed. No help.

Current workaround: Change screen resolution to anything... everything comes back... I don't accept the change in resolution.. all stays on screen.

So just enoying but very curious what could cause this.

Based on other threads, I disabled my 2nd screen.
Now oly use 1 with DVI input.
Problem persist.

Guess we have to wait for a driver update from NVDIA as
from what's posted overhere, it looks that other graphic cards such as Radeon and Intel don't have a problem.
