Constant Freezing and Sound Glitching, nvlddmkm.sys error
Greetings everyone. I've been experiencing this problem little over a week now. Ever since installed the new Nvidia update (331.65), I've been experiencing random freezing, sound glitching, black screen and rebooting. Before I assumed it was my CPU OC causing the problem; however, that didn't seem to be the case- since the issues kept happening after I set it back to stock.
Now, I checked event viewer to see what the issue was and I've been noticing constant:
The error seems to occur when I open a window, web browser, or when I'm playing a game. I've been trying to resolve this issue for the past 9 hours, reading various forum threads, google, etc. Just to be sure, I did a memtest and everything passed. No errors or anything. I recently rerolled my drivers to stable 314.22. Prior I did a clean uninstall, ran "DDU" just to be safe, and ran custom install for 314.22 excluding everything expect the display driver."The description for Event ID 14 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
\Device\Video7
00b2(1df4) 00000000 00000000
The issue is still happening and I don't know why. I would assume the error would go away after I downgraded, but it still continues. I tried the method of renaming the nvlddmkm.sys but that didn't work either. Does anyone have possible solution for this issue? I'm getting quite fed up Nvidia at the moment
