    Buzzing monitor

Monitor buzzes loud enough to bother people when viewing certain spreadsheets / color patterns. I've received instruction from the manufacturer on how to reset the monitor to factory and done so. Still buzzes. I swapped monitors of the same kind and it still happens at the same computer, but not when I take either monitor to a different computer. So my question is, what is unique about this persons computer that would make a monitor buzz? Is the onboard video a problem? Its a viewsonic VA2212M-LED and some kind of onboard intel graphics. Going to check on an updated graphics driver in the meantime.

    Hi diplo,

Do update the graphic drivers. At the same time update the drivers for your monitor.
Buzzing sound can be result of low power coming to monitor. As you mentioned that it sounds when viewing color patterns, so it might not be getting enough power from the board.

I did update the drive through windows update to no avail. I also went from a VGA cable to DVi which allowed me to alter the refresh rate. This didn't help. I finally was able to fiddle with the colors enough to at least reduce the buzzing sound.

Do check for power supply from the PC. As you mentioned that this only happens with this PC.
