Palit nvidia GT640 multiple dual displays not working

I have a Palit Nvidia GT640 graphics card.

The my monitors are AOC. They only have standard VGA 15 pin slots.

Now the VGA from the graphics card is working, but the DVI adaptor I've used for the other VGA to VGA connection this monitor will not display either by extending to this display or trying to make the primary display.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

Hi, Please correct me if I am wrong. GT 640 has a DVI-D port, not DVI-I. That being the case, it will not support an analog VGA connection (even with adapter). What you need is an active converter that does digital to analog video signal conversion. These cheap adapters on the market don't do that. What you need is a DVI-D to VGA converter.

The adaptor did not work. Although my mobo has some weird settings for graphics, but I think its set correctly. Not sure what else to do other than sell it and go for another graphics card???

Is it possible for you to send a screenshot of the MOBO settings for graphics?

Did you disable the motherboard's on-board video?

....and you are plugging both monitors directly now into the video card?

...and what adapters have been used, get specific... 8)

Yeah both are plugged directly into the graphics card as the onboard graphics is HDMI only. Both a DVI & DVI-D to VGA adaptors have been used.
