Monitor shows up black screen @ times ever since chipset family update

I have been noticing for a long while on my optional updates - "Display - Mobile Intel (R) 4 Series chipset family"

it showed update was released some where around June 2011, so I thought lemme do this one & installed it on Dec 24th.

this one to be exact: http://winqual.microsoft.com/support/?driverid=20411791

While installing the script, everything zoomed in by around 500% percent may be, then it turned normal. In between, I ha couple of black screens, which I use happens during "graphics card" update (just correct me if I'm wrong). After installation was completed, ... may be after 5-10mins, I had another black screen, I thought may be something failed or system went in for a reboot only for my surprise to see the screen back. This didn't repeat again though, thankfully.

Now ever since this update, while booting the system... after the window logo page, I get black screen for a short while, before I get Please wait, welcome page.. which keeps me guessing whether system turned off or restarted or its due to my current issues.

Not only this, while opening up some scripts which asks for permission to run the file ... for example when I try to open Command Prompt as Admin (to run sfc), screen goes into black screen & then flashes back with a few secs, with a faded screen asking me permission (I meant the regular faded screen, so nothing wrong with that)

can any one guide me, if this issue is related to the corrupt files prob which I'm having or is it because of this update ? If this is due to this update, can some one help me in solving this issue.

*sorry for my english, if you are unable to follow at any particular point, please let me know. I will try to elaborate about it in a different way.
