How do I get display to fit my monitor.

I just installed a new graphics card (gtx 770) today and when I finished installing the drivers I was met with a screen that looks too big for my monitor (taskbar, start button all kind of cut off). I tried changing dpi setting, under and over scan in Nvidia control panel. Resizing works but only if I downgrade my resolution. My monitor support full 1080p. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

    What it looks like.

generalissimo02, Welcome to SF. Change resolution by right clicking on desktop and choose resolution save it when happy with setting.

Its set properly at 1920 by 1080p but it is too big for my screen. The image I attached is actually at 1080p but is larger for some reason.

Reduce it till it's correct and also check settings on monitor.

Good question every monitor and GPU combo I've tried has always been a fine tuned setting. Also different cables DVI vs HDMI or DP give different results as well.
