    Gtx 790?

I discovered some articles on internet which talk about a GeForce GTX 790 with these specs:

    Cuda Cores: 2496 (x2)
    Memory: 5GB GDDR5 (x2)
    Mem Bus: 320 Bit (x2)
    Core: GK110 (x2)

Will this card be released or it's only a rumor?

I wouldn`t beleieve anything until you see it on nvidia`s website.

There gonna come out with a 6 GB Ti before that.

Details Regarding Nvidia Geforce GTX 790 Finally Surface - 4992 Cuda Cores and 10 GB of Memory

There gonna come out with a 6 GB Ti before that.

Nvidia is Preparing the Much Awaited GTX 780 Ti 6GB Edition for Launch
I found articles like these ones.

I have a GTX 690, which is actually the king of graphics cards since May 3rd 2012, thanks to 2 GK104 chips in one pcb, for a grand total of 3072 CUDA cores @1015 MHz. The problem is that it only has got 2GB of memory per card.

So I can't decide if upgrading now (for the question of the memory) to a GTX 780 Ti 6GB (which is almost at the same performance level of the GTX 690) or to a GTX 790 if it will be released, or wait for Maxwell / DirectX 12 GPUs.

Yes, the GTX 690 is an amazing card, but these 2GB aren't so much for my rig

I can tell you right now most games don't even use 2GB Vram unless your gaming on 2560x1440p

if it's 1920/1080 you have more then enough My most intense game takes only 1.6 GB of ram MAX PAYNE 3 on highest settings now if you got a 2nd card it does help but it doesn't combine ram it just helps distribute the load between the two

but in any case you don't really need 3GB unless your gaming on something bigger then two monitors

its only a rumor atm. could be an insider thing, trying to see if amd will respond with a dual r9 card first. the 780 would be more than man enough for now though. as I can see the 790 being titan money or more!

If I sell my GTX 690 for 700 €, I could get 2 GTX 770 4GB or a single 780 Ti... Maybe the 6GB version If it will be released...
