Windows 7 - Nvidia 9500M GS resolution issue

Hello,

Today I installed windows 7 ultimate on my laptop:

Acer Aspire 8920 G
9500M GS Nvidia card
1920 * 1080 Full HD screen

On vista it was no problem at all to select the screen resolution of 1920 * 1080, however, in windows 7 it only goes up to 1360* 768.

I tried:

- updating the latest driver from Nvidia - no effect
- manually adding the screen resolution in the nvidia control pannel - when testing this actually works and for the 15 seconds you see everything in 1920*1080. However, when selecting that it works it returns to the old resolution. The newly created resolution doesnt show up to be chosen with the original resolution sizes
- selected to also show resolutions which arent per se supported by the display - no effect.
- I tried manually selecting the display software with a "Digital LCD display (1920 * 1080 60hz) - this didnt change anything, still nog 1920*1080 resolution can be chosen.

What do I need to do?

thanks.

Nick
