It's a fair bang for the buck, IMO.
Thanks Mellon,
Sorry for the delay, been sorting out a system thing here.
I might be able to squeeze out a little more on the budget, the 7770 does look a good bet.
Have a few good ideas now, so will evaluate things and see where too go from there.
Thanks for your info, real world experience is what I was wanting to hear about.
Mick.

Sounds great. I think you'd be happier with the 7770. Like I said, I have an XFX card right now that I'm very happy with, but I have used Sapphire cards in the past with fantastic results as well. Either brand would be good and maybe one would be on sale.

Good luck on your choice.

Just don't forget the 7770 also requires more power than the 7750. Maybe 80 watts vs. 55 watts, and resulting additional heat generated. "Recommended" PSU of 450W vs. 400W.

This may or may not be important in your machine.

Good point. The OP has an 850W PSU, so I think he'll be alright with the 7770.

Hello my fellow windows 7 users. I bought a new laptop a few months ago, I had some problems, but everything is running well now, thanks in no small part to the knowledge in these forums. I was given Norton 360 as a gift. I always heard Norton was excellent, and it cost $100, so I figured it...

Radeon HD 7750 vs GeForce GTX550Ti
Which one would be a better fit? Both are about the same price, though 7750 was released a year after GTX550Ti. The only thing 550 has advantage in are the clocks, which are told to be twice as fast as 7750. Would that make any difference, significant or not? These are the cards in consideration...
