right, well ihave have a heatsink from a phenom 1100t. you think that will do?
yes it will install and it will be 100 percent better then the one the apu came with.

do you reckon it will be anything like a 212 evo
right, so i put the ohenom heatsink and fan on and the bios says a peak of 57c which is better but still terrible.
theyre just a hot chip in general. after doing a lot of research for a build im doing for a customer it seems to be that its normal for it to be fairly warm in comparison to a non APU varient. its not faulty. it just requires a half decent cooler to bring them down.
an all in one water cooling loop from corsair would do wonders and only a little more than a top notch air cooler.
would an h40 corsair cooler be better than something like a 212 evo
So go 212 then
think i may have sused it. because this cpu has a turbo mode. whenever you have it set to auto the cpu gets 1.45v all the time for some stupid reason. i have turned off the turbo mode and with no overclocking i can get a decent 41c. not great but dont forget that i dont have any aftermarket cooling other than a phenom 1100t heatsink and fan which isnt great. however, what would you guys consider to be a good core temp at full load. hwmonitor says im getting 90c as the package temp. im not sure what package temp means though. but with a 1000mhz gpu overclock and 2000mhz nb overclock i can not achieve 54c and like i said 90c core package temps at full load. any good?
could be wrong here peeps. aida64 says my cpu temp is 26. that cant be right. right? hwmonitor says that same thing but aida64 says my cores are 8c
