Dual Monitor + HDTV Setup Help

I am trying to connect two monitors and use my TV to duplicate my primary monitor. Unfortunately every time I try to save the settings in windows screen resolution a message pops up that says "unable to save display settings"

    This is my video card
    XFX HD-695X-CNDC Radeon HD 6950 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity - Newegg.com

This is my primary monitor via DVI
    ASUS VE278Q Black 27" 1920x1080 Full HD CD Monitor w/Speakers - Newegg.com

and my secondary monitor is an Acer x203w using a VGA to DVI converter to plug into my GPU

I am trying to connect my TV via HDMI

I tried switching the two monitors, however the Acer that is using the DVI adapter doesnt seem to work on the bottom slot of my GPU

    any help with this?

Only one of the DVI ports supports VGA via a DVI to VGA adapter. Also to use more than two monitors, one of them has to be connected to the diplay port; either native of using an adapter.
