    Playback issue

    Hi,

It seems like I have a "small" problem with video playback, online (such as YouTube) or local files. It's choppy, slow and skips frames.

I have JUST finished installing Windows 7 Ultimate x64. There are no programs installed besides Office. All updates have been applied and drivers as well (chipset and graphics included).

I tried the last graphic drivers from AMD, then uninstalled, cleaned and try the ones from the manufacturer website (also AMD drivers but older). The same happens.
I also tried disabling hardware acceleration.
It's not an internet speed related issue.

It's a Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5130. It has an AMD E-240 processor, it's just a single core 1.5Ghz. The GPU is AMD Radeon HD 6310 and 3GB RAM.

I am aware it's not a super fast computer but at least it should be able to play YouTube videos smoohtly in 480p right after a clean install.

    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: If someone is wondering about more specs of this computer, please ask me. Just in case, they're all here: http://support.toshiba.com/support/s...mTOCLink=false

how much avaliable ram do you have when first booting into windows?

the lag could be caused by windows trying to cache as much info to the page file as possible to try and clear enough ram. even more so if your gpu is not dedicated and shares ram.

might be worth disabling things like the aero theme ect and and then trying.

    Hi, thank you for replying.

Total memory is 2262MB and available after booting is ~2010.
Aero is not enabled. It's actually using the "Windows basic" theme. All visuals are disabled to boost performance.

It works generally fine, but the problem is this video playback thing. It's the same in Chrome and IE.

Well I played around with some settings in the hardware configuration and also change screen resolution and now the play 100% smooth in IE, but not on Firefox or Chrome
I already disabled the Pepper plugin, any suggestion?
