LiveKernalEvent Video Card crashes and occasional full PC lockups

I have an Asus G73SW laptop with a GTX460m card.

Whenever I try to play War Thunder on any settings, EVE with DX11, or most games, the display will flicker and stutter for a moment and then recover. Sometimes it just locks the entire PC and I need to do a power reset to fix it.

Here is the error report.

Problem Event Name: LiveKernelEvent
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033

BCCode: 117
BCP1: FFFFFA800D4E44E0
BCP2: FFFFF8800F189048
BCP3: 0000000000000000
BCP4: 0000000000000000
OS Version: 6_1_7601
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 768_1

I have used speedfan to monitor my GPU temp and it generally doesn't go above 65C.
I have tried using both the most current WHQL and the beta Nvidia drivers.

Certain games don't cause crashes, notably League of Legends, CS:GO, and EVE when run in DX9
