So that didn't work either. Same issues. Though something I noticed, when updating the driver and looking at compatible Intel drivers, they have different labels:

2006 (Default) Standard VGA Graphics Adapter
2010 (PB Site) Intel (R) Graphics Media Accelerator HD
2012 Intel (R) HD Graphics 0.15.10.2622
2013 Intel (R) HD Graphics 0.15.10.2993

This could just be labeling over the years though.

Takes around a minute to boot on the 2006 driver.

Maxie, do you have any idea why the error doesn't come up in Safe mode?

What are the chances the driver issue is virus related, and the resolution is monitor related. There's no other monitor I can test but I doubt it'd be that anyway.

Yes minimal set of Drivers is loaded in safe mode ... Can you Post me a screenshot of your Desktop .. The Link below will help you achieve this ... I doubt that it is a Virus .. .. And if there are errors under the Display Adapter could be the Driver or the card is failing .. Dont worry we do not give up that easy ..

I install Intel Chipset Device Software from your link, but it seems like nothing happens at all; is it actually loading a driver of some sort, as it is very quick?
