    graphics card help please

Hi I have a Dell Dimension 2400 which has onboard graphics. I think the chip set is intel 845E.

Obvioulsy this isnt compatible with W7.

Is there any way I can make this compatible or can some one tell me a PCI (not express) graphics card that is compatible with W7.

Everything else works fine its just a shame the graphics card isnt compatible.

Many thanks in advance and im sorry if this has been posted before.

    Cheers Steve

Steve, you my be out of luck. Check with dell to see if that model came with an option of a better GPU board.
Fill in the specs of you laptop in system specs and maybe someone will have an idea.

Sorry, there are several cards out there for PCI. In general if it will work in Vista it will work in 7. Needs Direct X9 and go for at least 256MB for general use an more for games.
Nvida seems to have the most up to date 7 drivers so far but the rest are catching up.

ATI Radeon X1550 Dual PCI (NOT PCI Express!) works fine on my WIN7 and Vista dual boots with Aero fully enabled.
