Okay I have read many forum topics on this and still cannot find a fix I have an HIS HD 3850 AGP and I just installed Win7-32B, I have installed the

Catalyst 9.10 Hotfix for Windows Vista 32-bit Edition drivers and no drivers are installed and Catalyst control center does not run. It well not let me uninstall Control center, I know that there are fixes for this as i have read other post of getting there agp cards working with Windows 7, any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Have you tried the Windows 7 drivers for that card?

Excuse my lack of knowledge with how ATI works exactly. I try to help regardless of what my knowledge is with things.

Anyways, how you tried just downloading the display drivers? https://a248.e.akamai.net/f/674/9206...win7_32_dd.exe

    Try navigating to C:\ATI\Support\9-10_vista32_win7_32_dd\Packages\Drivers\Display\W7_INF

    Then running CL_83742 or CW_83742

You want my custom .inf for 9.10 Catalyst package? Do you know what to do with it once you download it, if so? The HIS 3850 AGP is really awesome. You're going to be happy with it. Using ATI Tray Tools, you can overclock it to 800 MHz gpu, 2150 MHz memory and it will continue to function perfectly. That's within its "safe" range, what I always use for games. Make sure you put the fan speed high if you overclock.

Here's the full package you need. I made it as simple as possible.

RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting

    Extract it to C:\ATI

Update the driver by going to device manager, right click card, update driver, browse, let me pick, have disk, browse.

    Now find CL_83742.inf in C:\ATI\Support\9-10_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu\Driver\Packages\Drivers\Display\W7_INF

If it complains that it's unsigned, install anyway. Reboot. Choose an Aero theme by right clicking desktop, personalize.

    Run setup.exe in C:\ATI\Support\9-10_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu\Driver

    to get CCC installed.

WARNING: ANYONE RUNNING NVIDIA NFORCE3 OR BELOW FOR SOUTHBRIDGE CHIPSET CAN NOT USE HD CARDS BY ATI IN THEIR MACHINE ON WINDOWS 7 OR WINDOWS VISTA. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE.
