Hi just installed win 7 upgrade from vista on my sony LT1S.

    Now video wont play

no blu ray or dvd play back or live tv through media center.

I have just checked my win exp score and it has come down to 1.0 !

    Graphics -nothing listed

    Gaming graphics-not detected

    dedicated graphics memory-0mb
    dedicated system memory-0mb

I have unistalling the driver,on restart it says it is loading standard vga driver.

I have tried loading the driver froom sony and Nvidia but no joy

All was fine before the upgrade.

Has anyone got any ideas (i have asked sony support but after previous experiences i am not holding my hopes up1

    Thanks

Go to device manager, right click the graphics adapter in question under display adapters, choose properties, details tab, change dropdown to hardware ids. Copy and paste what is there to here.

Try this one. Install using device manager. Right click adapter, update driver software, browse, let me pick, have disk, browse. Now find the .inf that was extracted.

If it doesn't work, I am also downloading it too. I will look at it and see if I can make it work and then show you how.

Good luck and let me know.

    Cool Waz, thank you!

Gingerdog, if for some reason you still want to try the link I posted, you will have to overwrite the .inf with this one before you install.

The vista drivers should be used temporarily only. These hardware have their Compatible Hardware IDs as well as actual Hardware IDs (PCIs). Look out for an updated driver that actually is for W7.

I would try to help but I'm not exactly all that swift when it comes to domains because I have no exposure to corporate type of environment.
Perhaps one day. Good luck though.

    Hi
OK I tried with the download from torrentg (thanks)
but no joy -driver not recognised.

tried driver from sony,I presume that is vista, as it is the original driver. that doesn't work either.

    its a puzzle to me.
