RMA Time! NO Issues, Just talking.

So the time came to RMA one of my EVGA GeForce GTX 570 Superclocked(012-P3-1572-AR).
+1 For Lifetime Warranties.

This is where the fun started,
As I said one of my 570's died, Not a big deal... I pull it out(after testing) get it ready to RMA. Call EVGA get approved for RMA, Ship it out. I'm not worried about it, I still have my 2nd 570 to keep me up and running.

Until about 3 days later.

Back-story is I run SLI Surround and after the first card died I just set my computer up to run single screen and working great!

Now back to 3 days later, I needed to setup Dual-Screen to do some work. This is when I find out that on my 2nd 570 one of the DVI ports is dead, luckily the HDMI port works fine to get me by. So now I have to wait until I get my replacement for the first card and RMA the 2nd one.

Here is the rest of the fun, EVGA is sending me a EVGA GeForce GTX 660 Ti SC(02G-P4-4069-KB) as the replacement card. So now when I RMA the 2nd card I'll have to make sure I get the same replacement as the first!!

Anyway that's my fun story!!

EVGA is very good with support, I`ve only used their step up program myself. But when I do email them they are very prompt and courteous with their replies :)

I wish I could say the same for Asus

Have a read through this mate, it may be of some use. It seems that particular card should give you a modest increase in performance over the 570.

The 660 ti's will run nice and cool compared to your 570's

EVGA has been great with the RMA, smooth sailing with the first one!(Should be here Mon/Tues)
After I receive that one I'll start the 2nd RMA!

That's what I read so far, I'll be good as long as they run as good as my 570's did!

One more thing, Have a look at these links below. The model Number EVGA is sending seems to be so sort of "Exclusive" model?

Looks like the Exclusive model is just clocked a little higher.

I had a 660TI 3GB once, it was a great card, only reason I changed it was because I couldn't overclock it by much.

Jeepman I have the one up from that, the 670 SC 4GB model. All I can tell you is that it will play any game out and runs pretty cool too. When I was using the 670 and Paul had the 660 TI we used to run benchmarks against each other. I could beat him, but not by much, there's only a slight difference. When the 600's were the top Nvidia cards I used to tell everyone the 660 TI was the best card to buy considering money to performance. I think you'll like it. I've also done an RMA with EVGA. Everything went very smooth. The have about the best support around. But, I wouldn't expect a lifetime warranty on them. I would also make sure at the time you do the RMA on the second one that it will be replaced by the same card. Of course, I'm sure you have already planned to do that.

So after the above I received the 660ti sc and it was working great!!! I had to wait a few weeks to send out the 2nd 570sc (life happened). I RMAed the 2nd 570sc after telling them again I had an SLI system and needed a matching card to the first one they RMAed (660ti sc). EVGA said it was no problem. Well after they receiced the card and processed it I saw that they had a 570sc shipping out! I call them before it shipped and told them about my SLI system again! The Rep. I talked to once again said "not an issue and changed it back to shipping a 660ti sc to match the other. I verified this myself on the website....

Well four days later I received my shipment, and was happy as hell..... Until I un-packed it.... Now don't get me wrong I was not unhappy with what I opened, but it was not going to get me back to having my SLI setup. So what did I see? Well not a 660ti sc, nor a 570sc.... but a GTX 760 w/ACX Cooler!!!! (02G-P4-2763-KR).

I knew I had to call them to get this sorted out..... After I hooked this card up to play with it before I had to ship it back for the 660.. Nice card by the way!! Anyway I ended up calling EVGA back the next day and explained to the Rep what had happened. I was put on hold so he could check with the RMA Dept. to find out what went on and how I was shipped the 760 insteat of the 660ti.... Well come to find out the reason was they did NOT have any 660ti sc to ship out so they shipped out the "next one up" as they always do when a RMA card is "out of stock".

So I question the Rep as what should I do about getting back to my SLI setup? Now comes the good news..... The Rep. laughs, giggles and then says.... "Lucky for you we have more 760's w/ACX coolers on-hand, So just send me the 660ti"

WHAT??

I just went from 2x 570sc to
1x 570sc and 1x 660ti sc to
1x 660ti sc and 1x 760 w/ACX cooler to
2x 760's w/ACX coolers!!!!!! HELL YEAH!!! Love EVGA!!!!
