    PCI not recognised...

    Hi...

A total Newbie here, so go easy please...

My aged Win7 machine seems to have thrown the teddy out of the pram...

My ATI Radeon Graphics card is refusing to work and I'm now forced to use the onboard Nvidia adapter.

I've removed the card and it works fine on my other PC which runs Ubuntu, so it isn't the hardware.

I've checked the BIOS and I have it set at PCI-E...

Any thoughts as to what's going on...???

May be a stupid question that you probably have already attempted, but have you updated / reinstalled the drivers for the GPU?

What specific Radeon card (model and amount of memory on it) are you trying to use?
Have you tried another known-good video card in the Win 7 machine?
