Windows 7 not detecting radeon mobility x1400

I just finished installing Windows 7 ultimate, 32x to a separate partition of my hard drive.

When using Windows XP, I have a 1440x900 resolution, and windows says that my graphics adaptor is an ATI radeon mobility x1400. However, when I boot into Windows 7, I have a much smaller resolution, no aero support, and windows says that my graphics adaptor is "VGA standard display adaptor" or something similar to that.

    What do I do?

All I can suggest is to get the drivers from Drivers & Software

try installing realtek graphics driver in the windows 7 partition and that should do the trip. i experienced that in my desktop while using windows 7 and it was unable to get hold of my 1GB nvidia but realtek did the job for me.

I have the same problem, and I've tried the mobility modder without any success. Does anyone else have any ideas?
