    Which one is better?

I am thinking of going from a HP EliteBook 8730W to a HP ENVY 17-j120us Notebook. The CPU seems far better Intel Core2 Duo CPU T9600 @ 2.80GHz VS Intel Core i7 4700MQ (2.40GHz), but then again both are Sata II, frustrating.

    Graphics card Intel
HD Graphics 4400 Mobile VS. ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3670

Here's the Passmark benchmark scores for those processors:

    T9600: 1963

    4700MQ: 7927

That's a major difference, undoubtedly noticeable for most purposes.

Here's the Passmark video card benchmarks:

    Radeon HD 3670: 254

    HD Graphics 4400: 530

I'm not sure how noticeable that difference would be and I don't know what degree of graphics performance you need.

This omits cost, screen size, reliability, and whatever other things are important to you.

Actually, I can't find anything on graphics cards.

Thankyou ignatzatsonic, my GoogleFu is bad. I was even on that site looking at CPU.

    Isn't C2D too much older for a Core i7?
