    no amd driver installed when there is?


    Hello guys trying to fix this annoying problem with my sister's lappy here

    Whenever i open CCC an error message similar to ''no AMD graphics driver is installed or is not functioning properly or smth like that'' appears. All I can do is to control the clock speed of her laptop and turn off/on the wifi radio via CCC.

    Compaq Presario CQ40 310au

    AMD Turion X2
    2GB DDR2
    200GB HDD
    ATi Mobility Radeon HD 3200
    Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit

    GPU Driver version: atiumdag 8.six32.1.2000/Win 7 (her keyboard is broken so i spelled the number)

    Did she get her driver from Windows Update? In any case, see if this users info helps

    The last version the laptop could use with an ATi Mobility Radeon HD 3200 is the legacy Windows 7 x32 bits: AMD Catalyst™ Driver for AMD Radeon™ HD 4000, HD 3000 and HD 2000 Series v13.9 direct from AMD site ( Display Driver ver. 8.97.100.11).

    If in "Program & Features" no Ati Catalyst Install Manager appears to be install you could give a try those latest drivers.

    I've already installed 13.9 and 14.4 drivers, still same error. I think her laptop is giving up since its a 2008 laptop
