Wrong way of looking at it. Higher numbers in the specs do not always equate to a faster card. He had a dual card (higher power requirements and more heat) to a single card (lower power requirements and less heat), with the single card being as fast or faster in most cases,

He also went from a card that got very little support from Nvidia (they have a bad habit of this with their GX2 cards, just ask anyone that had the 7900 GX2), to a card that should receive support for quite a long time (as in proper
driver support).
