Thank you guys, I have never came here and left without finding out what the true problem was you all are awesome.

Just got one question is there any way to add an HDMI input/output to my system? Or would I be better off just buying/building a new computer.

You said earlier that your laptop doesn't have an HDMI Port.

Unfortunately you have to buy one or find another way around

Thanks a million for the link. One more question and then I will stop bugging you guys about this topic.

Do I have to have a USB 3.0 port to use these devices. I see the first link saying something about USB 3.0 to HDMI.

I didn't realize we were on page 2. I have it connected through a vga connetion.
Exactly, VGA on any TVs will only support up to 1366x768 resolution.
Sorry to say but that is wrong,

1920x1080 resolution over VGA - Super User

That and most TV's with a VGA port on them and when used, are seen by the computer as a monitor instead of a TV.

As for not being able to get 1920x1080 on the TV, you sure that it supports it? According to Sony that TV has a native resolution of only 1366x768,

Hmm, that's weird because ATI says my monitor by name that it supports 1920x1080.

But I guess that site would know a lot more. Thanks, that official, solved my problem and frustration.

That is most likely the max resolution of the laptop output because it is from ATI which makes the GPU.

The question for ages has been: "Does Sony Make Vizio?"

    Answer: No!

Who really makes Vizio? It is AmTran Technology of Taiwan.

"Who makes their screens? Perhaps Sony or Sharp?"

Answer: Vizio LCD screens are made by LG. Plasma screens are Panasonic seconds, which are most likely older technology and/or Panasonic rejects. The Panasonic rep said they are their screens, but they are totally different grade than the ones in Panasonic TV's.
