GT 620: Low Performance index ??

    Hi 2 all,

My Windows Performance index is pretty low, 4.8 , caused by my Nvidea GT 620.
The rest of my hardware shows 7.5 average. (32 gig ram, Core I7 3.5 ghz, Samsung SSD)

I always thought that the GT 620 was a pretty power videocard.
But why is my index then so low ?
Could there be more going on ?

As far as i know, i have installed the latest driver for that card.

    Best,

    Rob.

Has your ingame performance improved, as i know the index scores can be pretty unreliable.

GT 620 isn't really that powerful but if you want to play some games at low settings then its good enough and as HLPTech said, WEI is really unreliable.

    totally agree with roastermen.

However Rob if your music quality is good and you are happy with it, don't pay attention to WEI.

video card performance from nvidia is alway determined by the second number in its name.

in your case the 6 stands for 6 series and then the 2 is on a scale of 1 to 9 in terms of a performance.

so basically its the second slowest card within the 6 series family. a 690 would be the fastest.

Yep, I bought an MSI GT 610 for my new HP Pro 6300 SFF, it`s not powerful at all, the HD 4000 graphics chip on the 3570k I put in it gets a much higher score.

I`m thinking of getting this to replace it.
