Can't find Nvidia GFX 480M after cleaning PC

    Hi,

Been struggling for some days now, i cannot find the GPU anymore only Standard VGA Graphics Adapter.
I have tried all the CD's from manufacture and this will not install Nvidia, when i try setup as well.
Have tried all the newest drivers from Nvidia and the same error, when running setup (cant find GPU).

Tried to update drivers on the standard VGA card, and i will not manage to find the drivers when updating from the inf file from Nvidia.

All worked perfect, i decided to clean up the laptop. Since it has been a long time, and after re-install i cannot find the GPU at all. I have seen similar threads with adding the card into the INF file but i cannot find the correct PCI IDs for my card.
Checkeing the BIOS and this give me the correct card info, but in windows it will only see the damn standard VGA card.

Do you mean physically cleaned? As in taking apart the laptop and blowing the dust out? Or do you mean a software cleaning, where you clean up old files, and clean the registry?

    Hi,
Thanks for the feedback, software clean :)
    Format C: drive.
Left all the drivers on the other drive, and they are all working well.
Only have issues with the GPU.

    thanks

You should've cleaned the drivers in your other drive aswell. It is not good to have a separate drivers on an another drive because your system could malfunction and this what happened. Re-install all of the drivers using the C: Drive.
