    Well I use the word hacked because the program and drivers are not the same as the ones sent out by the manufacturer. These drivers also allow me to make more changes to the card that were not allowed by the manufacturer. Per dictionary.com:

    Hack(V) with Computers. to devise or modify (a computer program), usually skillfully

    Seems like about the right word to me...

    Right, but an .inf is not a program and it doesn't adjust how drivers work. At least not the edits being made.

    If anything, I guess you can call it an install hack or something.
