EVGA Nvidia GeForce 8400GS - driving dual displays
I want to be able to display my desktop (and play movies from the Blu Ray player) from my computer to my flat screen television.
The card is an EVGA Nvidia GeForce 8400GS. It is installed in a Dell XPS 8000 desktop. Connected to the DVI port is a Dell digital DVI display. It displays properly.
Connected to the HDMI port is a Sony Bravia KDL-40EX400.
I put the television on HDMI2 and nothing comes up. I try to go into control panel, display, change display settings and try to detect the display, and nothing happens. If I manually try to select a display, I get "Available Display Output On: Nvidia GeForce 8400GS" and then Multiple Displays, but it only gives me the option of the VGA port, not the HDMI port.
